My name is Pete and many years ago I acquired the nickname “DodgyPete”. The purpose of this blog is to share general info about me and my interests, my likes/dislikes, what I’ve been up to and anything else I feel like sharing at the time.
I live about 45 minutes south-west of Brisbane, Queensland Australia with my long-term girlfriend Kristy and her son Caleb and our dog George. Kristy and I officially met when I started working for Global Info Links (which then became iTEL, then the South East Queensland Community Telco… and God only knows what it’s called now) and much to my surprise and amazement, we’re still together today!
The last few years have been both interesting and exciting as I started (with the help of my friend and business partner Glen) a Brisbane-based web hosting company called Ingenuity Hosting.
A couple of years later, I decided to setup a second company focusing on another passion of mine – Search Engine Optimisation.
My work consists of provisioning web hosting and email services, registering and managing domain names, troubleshooting various email and web related issues for my clients, optimising websites so that they can be found more readily by search engines, playing with social media sites, as well as doing some basic web development work and general IT consulting.
Outside of my work (which takes-up a majority of my time) I like watching movies, drinking, eating, trivia, anything geeky, playing PS3 games (which I’m crap at), listening to most types of music… and I could go on-and-on, but if you want to find-out more… just read the blog (although surely you must have something better to do with your time… no really).
