My name is Pete and many years ago I acquired the nickname “DodgyPete”. The purpose of this blog is to share general info about me and my interests, my likes/dislikes, what I’ve been up to and anything else I feel like sharing at the time.
I live at Booval which about 45 minutes south-west of Brisbane, Queensland Australia. I live with my girlfriend Kristy and her son Caleb (who is 7). Kristy and I officially met when I started working for Global Info Links (now known as iTEL) and last time i checked, we have been together for over 4 years.
For the last few of years I’ve been managing (as well as being a director of) a Brisbane-based web hosting company called Ingenuity Hosting.
My work consists of provisioning web hosting and email services, registering and managing domain names, troubleshooting various email and web related issues for my clients, optimising websites so that they can be found more readily by search engines (a technique known as “Search Engine Optimisation” - SEO) as well as doing some basic web development work and general IT consulting. When I’m not doing these things, you’ll find me working on the day-to-day administrative tasks involved with running a business.
I like watching movies, drinking, eating, anything geeky, playing PS2 and PC games (both of which I’m crap at), listening to most types of music… and the list goes on… just read the blog and you’ll find a lot more about what I like and dislike…
