Last year was the first time that the Search Marketing Expo (SMX) bought their show down-under and due to the positive response, they’re coming back again this year. As far as search marketing conferences go, this is one of the best. It’s run by the guys from Search Engine Land, features representatives from all the major search engines and industry experts are coming from all parts of the globe to present.
To a majority of readers, this probably doesn’t mean much at all, and might even sound a little boring, but I can assure you it’s not and being the search geek that I am, this is a big deal for me.
I was going to purchase a conference pass (which is quite costly… but then again, most conferences are) when I found a competition being run by the well respected Search Engine College. They had a booth last year and were giving away t-shirts, but the shirts were fairly bland and they didn’t get rid of many… so to fix that, they decided to run a competition where readers could submit a t-shirt design and the winning entry wins a bunch of cool stuff (including a ticket to the SMX event).
So I Photoshopped a design, sent it through and now I’m one of the finalists.
The designs have been put on the website: www.ask-kalena.com and readers have until Sunday evening to cast their votes on their favorite design.
All you have to do, is go to the website, choose which design you like best (personally I think #7 is pretty awesome because it’s mine)… and down the left-hand side of the page, vote for Tee #7 your favorite design.
You can only vote once, but hopefully that will be enough to get me over the line.
