Things have been pretty busy over the last few weekends… a few weeks ago my brother-in-law turned 50 and had a very impressive celebration. I think that even if I tried to contact every person I’ve met over the past few years, I still wouldn’t be able to get that many people in the one place at the one time!
The week after that we went to the AFL (something of a novelty to me since I’m not an enthusiast of any sport), but it was excellent. The Lions were playing against St Kilda at the Gabba and the mighty Lions beat the Saints 102 to 50. Here’s a few pics I took on my phone:
For Easter Sunday we had lunch at my folk’s new place with the family (which is always a lot of fun) and we spent the rest of the weekend relaxing.
This weekend we went around to Brett and Lyndal’s place for the annual Newsome Trivia night. It was an absolute hoot – Brett is a very entertaining trivia master, the questions were a perfect blend of tricky, yet not impossible and the general atmosphere created by my slightly kooky family made the night one of the most entertaining evenings I’ve had in a long time.
My team came in second-last place (which isn’t a surprise considering I was on the team).
