Line Rider

Got too much spare time? Then you have to check this out:

The Official Line Rider
Line Rider was originally created by Boštjan Cadež, a Slovenian university student, in September of 2006. It almost immediately gathered a cult following and became the seventh quickest gaining keyword in Google. Since that time, the ‘toy’ has generated over [...]

Look who’s got a new fragrance out

There’s been more media coverage of the Corby family and their daughter Schapelle who was caught trafficking (or allegedly trafficking) drugs in Indonesia… She’s done well to be mentioned in the Wikipedia’s list of Australian Criminals, but really, I’m over the whole debacle, yet couldn’t help but smile when I was emailed the pic below:

When [...]

Valentines Day & Surprise Birthday Party

Kristy has recently been pulling-out all stops with surprising me. For Valentine’s Day I came home from work (it’s still weird saying that) and there was a candle-lit dinner prepared which was awesome.
Then a week later for my birthday she organised for a few friends to come around and surprise me which was excellent [...]

Movies and TV

Lately we’ve been catching-up on TV shows more than watching movies, so the only flick I’ve seen lately has been Children Of Men which was awesome. The movie had an interesting and thought-provoking storyline set in the future (but it wasn’t a shinny future where everyone has lycra body suits and drives flying cars) [...]

Simple games are a lot more interesting whilst intoxicated

A couple of Friday night’s ago I caught-up with a friend who I haven’t seen in ages.
The night consisted of a reasonable amount of drinking and catching-up which was a lot of fun and as the night progressed we somehow started playing a game called Uno Stacko which is basically a strange mix of the [...]

Emails

Here’s a few of the funnier or more interesting emails I’ve received lately:
The tragic affects of global warming:

Or some interesting pics of the complete oposite – the flow of water was stopped completely over the Niagara Falls on March 29th 1848 due to an ice jam in the upper river for several hours. This is [...]

Two birthday’s in one night

Generally we don’t go to many parties, but ended-up going to two last weekend as we accidentally double-booked ourselves.
The first party was for Kristy’s friend Vicky who we joined for dinner at a place called the Blue Smoke BBQ at New Farm. The place is a traditional American BBQ Rib restaurant where you get [...]

Night Kayaking

Last week one of my clients – Riverlife invited me and a guest to go night kayaking down the Brisbane river followed by a wine and cheese tasting to finish the night off.
Kristy couldn’t make it, so I extended the invite to Mick and we had an awesome time. Riverlife have been trying to [...]

Movies for the week

Deja Vu – A really good time travel crime action thriller (now why don’t they have a dedicated category for that at my local vid store?)… one of the great things about this movie is that they managed to make something which is currently impossible seem plausible and convincing.
Little Miss Sunshine – How do you [...]

I’ve made the list

Without even really trying, I just discovered that the Dodgypete.com Blog has made the list for the State of the AustralianBlogs-osphere (or the noisiest bloggers in Oz) – Spring 2006.
I may not be amazingly high on the list (ranked 522 of 923)… but I’m still on there which is pretty cool!
