Brisbane Gallery of Modern Art

Posted on Wednesday 31 January 2007

A couple of weekend’s ago I took Caleb to the new Brisbane Gallery of Modern Art and it was awesome.

The gallery is currently featuring the 5th Asia-Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art and as part of the exhibits there was a martial-arts feature. Instead of paintings or sculptures there was a series of about 20 flat-screen TV’s on the walls that showed short clips of various classic kung-fu movies. Both Caleb and I were very impressed!

As it was also school holidays, there were heaps of cool kids activities which were actually quite fun too… amongst the activities, Caleb and I had to stop and catch a bus:

Afterwards we cruised through the museum and bummed around there for a while before coming home.

I’ll definitely be going back to check it out again when they change themes.
