Apple have recently announced their new iPhone.
Apple say “iPhone combines three products — a revolutionary mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and a breakthrough Internet communications device with desktop-class email, web browsing, maps, and searching — into one small and lightweight handheld device. iPhone also introduces an entirely new user interface based on a large multi-touch display and pioneering new software, letting you control everything with just your fingers. So it ushers in an era of software power and sophistication never before seen in a mobile device, completely redefining what you can do on a mobile phone.”
And although that is a lot of marketing hype, not to mention that smartphones are nothing new, I still think it looks like a pretty impressive piece of technology and I want one.
Just a bit of info about the Apple vs. Cisco law suit regarding the new Apple iPhone : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6250511.stm. My favourite bit is the comment from Apple spokesman Alan Hely - not to long or wordy - short, simple and to the point : “We think Cisco’s trademark lawsuit is silly”. Brilliant!! whatever they are paying Alan they should double it, the man is obviously a genius
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6250511.stm - here is the link again - accidentally put a fullstop on the end of the link - if only I had a spokesman like Alan to give me the words to explain how embarrassed I am……… oh I have it “Oops” - good work Alan!
