16 Blocks, John Tucker Must Die, Talladega Nights and Lucky Number Slevin

Posted on Thursday 21 December 2006

Last week we watched 16 Blocks, John Tucker Must Die, Talladega Nights and Lucky Number Slevin.

16 Blocks is a dirty cop movie with Bruce Willis and Mos Def. Bruce looked pretty old in this one (probably a combination of his balding head, a dodgy mo and the fact the guy’s 50 years old)… nothing particularly new or unique, but still an enjoyable flick.

John Tucker Must Die was simply a movie length version of One Tree Hill (not that I expected anything different)… so as long as you don’t mind watching a cheesy highschool teen romantic comedy then you probably won’t mind it.

Talladega Nights sucked – Will Ferrell has done some funny stuff, but he’s also done some atrocious stuff which you just watch and wonder why they even bothered making the movie… this was one of them.

The pick of the bunch was Lucky Number Slevin – a mobster comedy with lots of excellent quirky one-liners, retro styling and a great cast!
