Bollywood Film Festival

Posted on Tuesday 4 July 2006

Last Thursday night Kristy and I went along to the opening night of Brisbane’s Bollywood Film Festival at the Dendy. There was a pre-movie party with drinks and (few) Indian nibblies.

I was amazed at the diversity of the crowd that was there. The movie that we saw was Parinteena and is based on a classic Indian novel (which has been transposed to cinema on 3 or 4 occasions previously). I enjoyed it, thought it was a little long. I since discovered that most Bollywood movies usually go for hours, meaning this was relatively short - so I shouldn’t really complain.

Was a really great night and I have to say a big thank you to Map Magazine (one of my clients) who were responsible for sending us the invite.
