On Saturday night we watched Must Love Dogs and In Good Company.
Must Love Dogs was a standard romantic comedy with pretty-much all the usual stereo-types. Although it wasn’t amazingly original, there wasn’t anything particularly bad about it and there were a few funny parts (and I like John Cusack movies), so overall I enjoyed it.
I really liked In Good Company – Dennis Quaid plays a middle-aged ad exec faced with a new boss who’s nearly half his age … and who also happens to be sleeping with his daughter. There were some great moments where you can see Quaid on the verge of snapping.
We also rented a few other movies which we’ll probably catch-up on during the week… so watch this space.
On Sunday night we went to the Ipswich Jazz and Blues festival. We sampled some wines, listened to some Jazz and then had a bite to eat at D’Arcys on Doyle (Which is one of Ipswich’s nicer restaurants). Nothing beats eating nice food, drinking fine wine and listening to good music – but going to Ipswich’s Jazz festival wasn’t too bad either
