Hi, I’m Pete.

Many years ago I acquired the nickname ‘Dodgy Pete’. Some will say it was because of my lack of inhibition in certain social situations and the inapropriate comments I would sometimes make. Others might argue that it pertains to some of the creative ways I attempt to tackle problems. It could also relate to the fact that I’m a guy in his thirty’s that still likes to play video games and get drunk mid-week.

It could be any, all, or none of those reasons, but at the end of the day, the name seems to have stuck and this is my blog. I’ll let you decide for yourself.

Now, enough of this speculation, let’s get down to the facts.

As mentioned above, my name is Pete. I live in Brisbane, Australia and I run a Web Hosting and a Digital Marketing company. I’ve worked in the IT industry for over a decade and spend an unhealthy amount of time online. So, as you may have guessed – I am a geek – and proud of it.

I like movies and TV (particularly quirky and/or dark comedies). I couldn’t live without music and have fairly eclectic tastes. I like video games and most of my current gaming happens on my PS3. Even though I enjoy gaming – I am terrible at it.

I am quite fond of drinking (alcohol), although, I wouldn’t say I’m particular good at that either. I also appreciate good coffee and tasty food and take great pleasure in finding new and interesting places to consume all manner of culinary delights and intoxicating beverages.
